PACKING MATERIALS FOR MOVING HOME

You can either pack yourself or hire our expert packers to pack all your items for you. Some homeowners like to pack their own precious, fragile and delicate items themselves and leave the rest for DRL to pack for them. All our packing materials are recycled. 

If you intend to pack yourselves please do not exceed 30kg and mark the boxes with Heavy.

CARDBOARD BOXES

• Double Walled Box - in a variety of sizes from small medium large or extra large
  
• Wardrobe Box - for the storage of clothing on a clothing rail will take between 30 and 40 hung items of clothing
  
• Tv Boxes - for transporting TVs between the sizes of 27 and 36 inch
  
• CD/DVD- Cardboard storage box 50 + CDS or 24 DVDS ​
  
• Plate Boxes - for the vertical storage of plates, side plates, platters, dishes, saucers

Protective Wraps

10 Top Packing Tips

1. Raid your local supermarket for boxes, but be sure to choose the stronger corrugated ones,
2. Put heavier items at the bottom of boxes,
3. Put fragile/lighter items at the top,
4. Rather than using bubble wrap using clothing or old sheets and linens to wrap delicate or fragile items, pack glasses with and into socks,
5. Use old newspapers or clothing to fill empty gaps in boxes this will stop things from shifting around and breaking or scratching one another,
6. Do not pack damp clothes or items with liquids in boxes, this will weaken the box.
7. Use a suitcase for each family member and pack a holiday bag containing useful items, toiletries and clothing you will need. 
8. Use suit carrier to move clothes from your wardrobe.
9. Use a black bin page and pull up over 10 garments straight from the hanger .Tie up around the hanger and secure with tape
10. Use plastic boxes, tupperware and food containers to group smaller items together and tape to seal the box, use a sharpie to label the box.
